There once was a softball team named Free Spirits that included several members of a local band. The band members hauled their equipment around in vans so that decided it might be fun to check out a van-in. Well, needless to say, they were hooked. Free Spirit Vans was formed in 1979.

Free Spirit members attend about 20 van events a year which include van-ins, hall parties, road rallies and council of council. FSV has been well representated at each Van Nationals since 1980. We try to participate in most event games although sometimes we have "too much fun" on Friday night and miss out on the the games on Saturday. We do have an impressive collection of "Party Club" trophies.

Some of us have "handles" (nicknames): Gloworm, Dee Jaye, Stephen Damnit, Bubbles, FiFi, CindyMax, TOFR, Sally, Bugman, biggary, Rabbit, Beam Me Up Scottie, Highway Star.

At van-ins we usually camp with fellow members of SOVC. So stop by our camp, say hello & party with a bunch of great people.
